Eric Ochoa grew up in Los Angeles County and attended The University of California, Santa Cruz where he studied psychology and graduated with a B.A. with honors in the major. From there he began his career in San Francisco in strategy consulting for Fortune 100 companies. Wanting to find more purpose in his work, he worked briefly for a national charity organization and then co-founded a lobbying and consulting firm several blocks away from the White House in Washington, D.C. Eric also went on to open several small businesses in Hawaii, before returning to Southern California to study at Pepperdine University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. His practicum as a trainee therapist, Eric worked with children, couples, families, and individuals on a wide range of clinical issues–many of which involving substance abuse.
