Kristy was born and raised here on the Big Island in Captain Cook, Hawaii. A graduate of Big Island Beauty College, Kristy pursued a 10-year career as a cosmetologist, working in several parts of the U.S. Her life changed in 2012 when she entered a residential treatment center in Newberg, Oregon and has remained sober since. She has spent a few years working as a substance abuse counselor in two different non-profit outpatient treatment centers on the Big Island, and recently acquired her CSAC certificate. Kristy’s own experience in recovery has given her the desire to help those that struggle with addiction, that they may find hope and a sense of well-being while at HIR. She is a dedicated mother to her three-year-old daughter, and enjoys reading, camping, and spending time with her family.”
