Don’t miss the sixth annual Taste of Mauna Lani Benefit on the South Kohala Coast! The three-week event, hosted by the Shops at Mauna Lani and the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows, runs from Monday, September 7 through Sunday, September 27. This extra-special yearly event offers guests an opportunity to sample the very best cuisine the Big Island has to offer. Seven of Mauna Lani’s top restaurants will provide tantalizing three-course dinners from which to choose, each reasonably priced between $25 and $50.
About the Hawaii Island Food Basket
While you enjoy feasting on three-course prix fixe dinners prepared by Mauna Lani Resort’s finest chefs, the experience is even sweeter knowing that a portion of event proceeds are earmarked for Hawaii Island Food Basket, a supplemental food network that partners with area organizations, businesses and agriculture programs to feed the hungry while educating the local community about local hunger. The Food Basket’s goal is to eradicate hunger and poverty by providing healthy, nutritious food, and to redistribute food that would otherwise go unused. Hawaii Food Basket also works to remove the stigma often experienced by people who need assistance.
