The clients started the day with a strenuous yoga session. Afterward, there was a consensus amongst everyone that we wanted to have a relaxing day. We packed a bunch of snacks in the cooler and took them to a shaded beach on the north side of the island. The day was unusually clear, the trade winds were blowing, the sun was out, and the water was a bright, clear blue traveling with us along the highway.
Beach and snorkeling
When we got to the beach, we parked and walked to a shaded spot right near the reef. We brought snorkeling gear with us and the more adventurous ones swam around it, in and out of underwater caves, admiring the myriad fish and ocean critters. We talked on the beach for a long while, basking in the sun and forgetting about everything but the moment. Everyone was relaxed and in good spirits. Some took naps, others got in and out of the water. We were there for about 6 hours. When we left everyone was tired, but laughing, content from spending a day with new friends on a gorgeous beach, out in the Hawaiian sun.
